How Can We Fix It

Art Book

7 x 9 in / Printscreen, Risoprint, Digital Print

Printing on paper has been a lifelong passion, one that predates even my college years. In 2019, I had the thrilling opportunity to conceive and publish an independent, one-of-a-kind book as part of the Art Book course offered by IPRC (Independent Publisher and Resource Center) in Portland. This project marked the celebration of a life-altering journey, a three-month road trip that started in Connecticut and culminated in Costa Rica. Within its pages, I delve into my encounters with strangers, as well as childhood travel memories, all beautifully illustrated with photographs, drawings, inspirations, and notes collected throughout the expedition. It's a vibrant tapestry of connections and recollections that continues to fuel my creative spirit.

The Redley brand is widely recognized in Brazil as an icon of surfwear, embodying the vibrant spirit of the tropics and the harmony of nature at its core. Over the decades, Redley has reinvented itself while maintaining its authenticity and connection with its original and contemporary audience. In 2009, I had the honor of being part of the creative team as the lead designer, contributing to editorial and print projects and co-creating support materials for various collections and brand runway shows. It was an enriching experience that strengthened my bond with Redley and its incredible journey.

Asterisk is an experimental annual print magazine with internal distribution, designed to provide a gallery-like platform for employees to showcase their artwork. In an effort to avoid singling out any specific piece, the concept for this fourth edition adopts a fluid interpretation of its name, where the repeated plural letters convey the intention behind the sheer quantity and diversity of projects featured in the magazine.
